Peter, Andy, Andy, Robin and Rob and myself had a 2 day camp in the remote area of the Letterewe (or Fisherfield) forest NE of Loch Maree. We crossed by boat from the Loch Maree Hotel near western end of the map and then walked to the southern end of the Fionn Loch. After an evening ascent of Beinn Lair, the next day we then had a 10 hour day wandering over the ridges and lochs around A Mhaighdean and Ruadh Stac Mor, one of my very favourite areas of Scotland, followed by a stunning sunset over the loch. Great walking, but as always it's the company and that makes my mountain trips so memorable.
